My Capstone Review\

My capstone was interesting because I had a girl come up to me that had faced the problem I was trying to solve. It was on teen pregnancy and she was in high school and a mom. I loved presenting to my judge because he was able to relate to my topic and he gave me his input. He told me about the root of my problem and how to evaluate it from a cultural perspective.

Since we are talking about interesting things, here's a bunny.

1. In my government class, we are constantly receiving presentations, and I come ready to sleep everyday. The re4ason I am ready to sleep is because that I can never decipher the power point and make sense of  the "mambo jambo" information on the slides.
1. On the other hand my Economics class had the best presentations ever, because they were interactive and accompanied with videos.
2. We I am living proof of multitasking failure. One day I was working on my homework and ended up writing my notes from the movie script.
3. The information I could use to support the fact that exercise aids in creating and participating in presentations is that, we tend to give better presentations with clear heads, and that can only be achieved with a great flow of oxygen to our mind, which in turn can be achieved through exercise.
4. My preentation could use more colour, as the colors are on the dull side and that won't help since humans are visual learners. 
5. I should not toss my current presentations, because I already took specch and learned about the perfect ways to give great presentations.

Video Blog Post

This video is funny and kind of humorous. It introduces teen pregnancy in a humorous way, that some people might take it to be offensive. In the video I used a couple of images with a combination of music videos that I borrowed from a band. I really like the video, and I hope that people will see the humorous side of the whole video, whilst also seeing the seriousness of the video.

• My capstone will not include any purchasing explanatory props. 
• I will present my capstone material on a stand, I will also try to have a big poster/banner at the background.
• I will not be fabricating a 3-D prototype.
• I do not have to be dressed, something casual will do t, as I will be appearing to a younger audience.
• Important points to present in my capstone are some of the facts associated with the pregnancy rates.
• I will not be presenting a brochure.
• I will have a website. 

Discuss look and feel issues:

My presentation is serious,but inorder to appear to the younger crowd, it also has to have some humor in it. As a teenager, seriousness bores me, I prefer environments that are fun but retain some intellectual level. 

Font, color and design can  make a huge difference when it comes to people taking ones research seriously, As for now, I will mostly be using 8pt font to create a teenage girls face, and will try to have some color popping out. The image will mostly be black and white to showcase the seriousness of the issue and have bright words popping out to highlight  the most important parts of the project. 

As of right now, I do not have a video or a site yet. My print is persuasive in that it has words popping out of a persons face, which is quite interesting. MY video will be a documentary. The documentary will include interviews with various teenagers, as I try to understand the comprehensive sex knowledge they have.  My site will be an educational site for teens. I an not intending on doing any of the things listed in item f.

 

Capstone Project Statement of Intent:

The goal of my capstone project is to help make sex education classes mandatory towards the high school graduation curriculum. Sex education classes are important for high school teenagers, because the United Sates alone has the highest teen pregnancy rates amongst developed nations. 

 Why should you care about teen pregnancy?

As a nation and society it is our responsibility to educate the future generation and to set a healthy foundation for them. Whilst the U.S.A has the highest pregnancy rates, it ranks number 36 amongst countries with the highest education ( That's embarrassing!). We should care because tax money is the one that is used to help pay for the expenses associated with teen abortions, pregnancies, and birth. 

As for my career, I have not yet decided what I want to be... Hey don't blame me....I have an ORANGE personality. 

My project gives back to society, in that if successful it will help lower teen pregnancy rates on a national level.

The Richland triple bottom line is environmental, social, and economic. My project will mostly address the economic and social aspects of it in that, by lowering teen pregnancy we will be economical, in that more than $19 billion dollars will be saved. Social in that, teen pregnancy is a social issue.

Wehre do my ideas come from?

TBH...all my ideas/good ideas come mostly from Yahoo answers. Whenever I get stuck and need an idea, I simply go online, look at other peoples ideas and try to see what comes up. Yahoo answers usually does the trick, so THANK YOU YAHOO.
